We replaced our humongous front load units with this stacked model. It gave us all the space we needed in our utility room. I love the simple controls. They are very intuitive. It is not the most quiet washer, but it gets the job done quickly compared to the front loaded one. I'm very happy with it.

Needs a button to release the washer lid

Unbalanced load. You have to wait about 15 minutes between trying to rebalance your load. It would be better if there was a button to push to release the lid so you could keep trying. This is very frustrating when trying to wash rugs. It can be an all day affair. Besides this one problem, I am very happy with my unit.

Frigidaire Washer dryer combo

I always thought I would like one of these combos, but now that I own one I wouldn't buy it again. It is hard to get into (and yes, I am short), for unloading. It has lint going everywhere in the dryer and on the clothes, if you don't unload the lint trap first before removing the clothes. It does wash well and dry just fine but hard to use.

Defective design of agitator, broke in 14 months

I purchased the laundry center in August 2023, the washer started to make a loud noise in October 2024. The problem was with the agitator inside plastic housing which had threads worn out in a little over a year. The technician said the design was defective. The plastic housing for the bolt was melt in the past models, now it is all soft plastic. Frigidaire should refund the purchase due to poor and defective design.

Very compact and quiet when running, perfect for small spaces. Has a decent amount of settings for everyday needs and can fit a decent amount of laundry in both washer and dryer. The one down side and why it™€™s 4/5 stars is the water won™€™t start filling the washer basin if the lid is open so you can™€™t add last minute items.

Right at the one year mark the dryer electronics stopped working. I'd close the dryer door and the "close dryer door" light wouldn't go off, therefore the cycle wouldn't start. Repair guy came and wiggled the wires behind the door switch and it started working again. He ordered a new switch. The dryer is great when it works. Washer is not very vigorous. I mainly use the washer it for the soak cycle on whites and use my Speed Queen work horse washer for the rest of the family laundry. Electronics on washer have been glitchy at times but seem to reset after a random amount of time.

This appliance is nice. I like how they are stacked to save space. My only complaint is that it is difficult to reach the bottom of the washing machine with the dryer extending above the lid. Maybe if I was 2 inches shorter.

Not properly wired at factory

After one use of the Dryer, the Dryer stopped working. It took two attempts by the service technician to find the wire and replace it. The assumption is the wire was placed against the drum. During the first use, the wire rubbed against the drum and severed.

Washer and dryer unit work exceptionally well. Very happy with this purchase . It does take awhile to get used to the fact that the washer doesn™€™t open for 6 minutes at the end of each cycle , and also remains shut for 6 minutes if you choose start on a cycle and then have to cancel.
