Was told wed be contacted within 3-5 days for a service call. Unit is about 3 years old and entire circuit board failed costing $800 to repair board + service. Additionally we just installed our THIRD craft ice maker under warranty so far. There is obviously a problem with the craft ice maker design or electronics which cause it to fail so frequently. LG should send a new craft ice maker on the same frequency they want you to replace the water filter - it is on about the same schedule as far as reliability. For a refrigerator that cost about $3500 I expect better parts and warranty than what Ive gotten so far. Not sure I would consider a LG the next time we need to shop for a new unit.

Love my LG French door fridge

The is refrigerator is a year and a half old and already has not one but TWO malfunctioning ice makers. One works when it feels like it and the other has quit making ice altogether. Of course we are barely out of warranty so LG wont do a thing without us paying a service charge. We were definitely mistaken in thinking we bought a quality product. I bought this unit two years ago and have been very happy with most features and functions. The flexibility of the drawers and shelves lets us store all kinds of goods. The steel-grey finish is easy to maintain and the ice production is outstanding. Two items that I would suggest be modified: 1 The touch screen should turn on if you use any of the water or ice functions. It stays off until you touch it then you need to touch it again to make your selection. Extra touch is a waste of time. 2 The Custom Ice feature in the freezer space frequently needs to be reset. The reset button is hard to find and reach so it should be repositioned to a more accessible location on the ice maker. Overall a great machine.

When it worked it was nice. Then I needed it serviced for the white residue the door ice maker was leaving behind and the water leaking out of the ice maker. Now its not working again. I was told the Craft Ice Maker would go bad and it has. I did the update and the fridge hasnt worked since. LG has failed to get someone to come service it. Ive been waiting over three weeks. LG apparently thinks this is good service? Utter failure. So disappointed.

Ive had this ThinQ fridge about 18 months. Everything works great but the water and ice features. Had to replace the mother board it was covered under warrantee and replaced for free 11 1/2 months after purchase. Ive had a problem with replacing water filters. The replacement light doesnt go off after the filter is replaced and customer service was unable to correct the problem.

Quit after 1 year and 3 months

I both refrigerator 15 months ago and it has quit working caused by fan and compressor failure. I have found customer service comparable to the refrigerator. My problem was diagnosed more than two weeks ago and still has not been resolved. The compressor had to be ordered. When the technician arrived to install the compressor he determined that the fan was not working. He then has to order a replacement fan and could not provide an estimate of when it should arrive. I was advised that the manufacturer does not allow him to have spare part on hand even though my problem has been very common with this model.

Lovely Fridge

Overall we love the fridge. Unfortunately the craft ice maker is terrible and in hindsight we might have bought another brand fridge if we knew it would break so often. First time thankfully was under warranty then it broke again just a year later after it was fully replaced Sad expensive experience. We might not even replace it at this point which is a bad and sad customer experience.

We bought this refrigerator last June 2022 about October the Kraft ice maker quit working we didnt know until we received a phone call from LG stating that the ice maker had a problem its a smart refrigerator it was covered by factory warranty and was fixed promptly and has been working great. In March the top ice maker quit working called LG service and they replaced it promptly as it was still under warranty. Despite those problems we love our LG refrigerator it is very quiet running and keeps our food much fresher longer. I would definitely recommend this product.

Bought this due to other fridge stopped working. Love the wifi capability of it and the craft ice machine. The craft ice machine stopped working 2 months after purchase but was replaced by a new model and now is working fine. I love the inside of it and the temperature is very consistant. We bought it from Costco.

Plenty of space and well laid out. We have had a few issues with both ices makers that were quickly repaired. The finger prints and marks on surface are much more visable than I anticipated and must use a microcloth to wipe so there are no streaks. It is beautiful and looks amazing in our kitchen remodel. Just hope we do not have any further issues.

I appreciate that the refrigerator still works overall. Im disappointed that the craft ice is completely broken after only 3 months. If you google LG craft ice you will see issues with this ice maker breaking since 2020. I would avoid craft ice until it is actually usable.

Craft Icemaker is Defective

I bought the LG brand based on reputation of quality and reliability. After reseaching this model met our size and needs. I like that it has separate compressors for the fridge and freezer. I am not crazy about the shelf arrangement of the fridge and have mixed feelings about the way food is stored in the lower freezer. We didnt really care about having water and ice on the door because of the low ice capacity but now love it and drink more water and waste less plastic. The reason for the one star is the craft ice maker. I liked the idea of a second ice maker but it is only two years old and broken. Reading online and I see there are numerous complaints about the LG craft icemakers failing. Until LG fixes this I would stay away from any model with a craft icemaker.

I bought this and it does the job for my husband and I but not enough top space for a family. We bedded to replace ours and liked this one for the craft ice cubes in the freezer space. Within less than a year it stopped producing ice so we need a new unit installed. Thankfully we bought it at Costco so they are dealing with LGs repair service. Five weeks to get someone out for service

The refrigerator was delivered with silver permanent marker scribbled inside on the white interior and the metal has many scratches on it. I reported this to the store and LG on the same day it was delivered. LG customer service will not help or even talk about it. They will only speak with the store. LGs customer service is non-existent

Have had this new refrigerator for 1 1/2 months and so far it has met all expectations. Even though it is smaller23 1/2 vs 25 cu. Ft. the usable space is much better. The shelves are well thought out and flexible in their arrangement. The lower freezer is much easier to organize and retrieve items than our old side by side. So far a great purchase.
