i have this sound bar package in my man cave now for a couple years. works great right out of the box. used the templet for mounting with no problem. set up was easy pezzy. i'm enjoying every moment!

hello , for the money & small room you can't beat it ! what i did to fix the rear speakers is up size the speaker wires which made them louder . how to upgrade from a 6 1/2" subwoofer is come off of the speaker wires inside to a connector to a wire to a subwoofer with speaker high level inputs . i put a 12" subwoofer with speaker level inputs and man what a difference . all only was $150 to make the sound system sound like 420w better .

I have had Bluetooth cutting in and out for as long as I've had the speaker. Not worth the money when you can't listen via Bluetooth!

Soundbar doesn't support FLAC audio. When I plug my iPhone into the Apple adapter then into my tv the audio coming out of the soundbar is significantly reduced and the volume needs to be turned up to 50 to hear anything.
I can confirm this because I also have a k360 and In the same scenario the audio is not impacted.
The only difference between the 2 is the FLAC audio support.

We own 4 samsung TVs and two Samsung soundbars with another two blu-ray players. Just like this website, they look good at first but turn out to be a total shitfest when using them daily. The soundbar will connect to my q70 smart TV and turn off, but then not turn back on when using the "universal controller" settings or HDMI arc, or a dedicated optical cable. Nada. Even though it worked on the older gen Samsung TV we just replaced. The sound gets reset to 20 so not only do we get to travel back to the 1990s by having a remote to turn on each device (since the universal option wont work). You'd think all samsung products would work with other samsung products, but I guess Microsoft isn't the only company who's managed to screw that up. It's a shame nothing works as advertised - and the offshore "customer service" is worthless.

The Soundbar has an average sound when it comes to the head unit, but the subwoofer gives it a more premium feel with its loud, deep, and rich bass. I was disappointed though when I found out that the only way you can connect to the TV is either Bluetooth, Optical cord, or an aux. There's no HDMI, which was what I was planning to connect with. I also think that we should be able to control the features through the SmartThings app because the remote is very easy to lose.

I bought my Samsung HW-R450 Soundbar with the wireless rear speakers. While the system does not replicate a multi-speaker upper end sound studio, it is more than adequate for most listers - per my family and friends. Once you have the right bass and trebble settings, the sound quality is very solid. With setting choices for sports, movie, night, music and best voice, I'm satisfied with this unit. We have our linked to a Samsung 65 inch TV, and enjoy nice sound without having to spend allot of money. My only negative is that the wall mounting system requires perfect percision to maintain level. The paper template comes folded, so good luck trying to be precise given the creases in the paper. Despite these challanges, properly leveled wall mounting is possible with careful thought and precise measuring. I took one star off my design rating due to the difficult wall mounting system. Lastly, I've used this sound bar for over one year.

I BOUGHT THIS SOUNDBAR ABOUT A YEAR AGO BECAUSE I WANTED TO UPGRADE FROM THE TV SPEAKERS........I TRIED TO CONNECT THROUGH THE ARC PORTS BUT MY TV MU8000 WILL NOT DETECT THE BAR.......IT DID FOR ALL OF 5 MINUTES THEN IT STOPPED DETECTING IT..........I THOUGHT IT WAS INITIALLY THE ONE CONNECT SO I CONTACTED SAMSUNG, WHO SENT ME A REPLACEMENT.....THAT DID NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE......I CONTACTED SAMSUNG AGAIN, WHO SUGGESTED CONNECTING THROUGH THE OPTICAL PORT..WHICH WORKS BUT DOES EXPLAIN WHY IT WILL NOT CONNECT THROUGH HDMI....THE SAD PART ABOUT IT IS THAT I KEPT THE SOUNDBAR AND CONNECT THROUGH THE OPTICAL PORT....I HAVE AN OLDER SOUNDBAR AND THE SAME ISSUE OCCURRED.....BUT THE OLDER ONE STAYED CONNECTED LONGER THROUGH THE ARC PORT BUT I WANTED AN UPGRADED BAR SINCE I HAD UPGRADED MY TV.....BUT OUTSIDE OF THE HDMI ISSUE ALL THE OTHER FEATURES WORK....I JUST WANTED TO HEAR THE BETTER SOUND QUALITY THROUGH THE HDMI PORT

For the price this is a decent setup. I'm a "normal" person who appreciates good sound, but far (far) from a die hard enthusiast. The bass is perfectly acceptable and things are clear. It's an obvious step up from the TVs built in speakers. Lack of HDMI connectivity might be a big deal for some--it really should have one. Things work fine with the optical. Given it's price point the thing is fine.

Comments via opical to a new Samsung 4K TV. Turn off the TV and the sound bar stayed on. Manually power it off and in a little while it powered on again. Did a chat with Samsung, they couldn't resolved, said someone would contact me in 24 hours, no further contact from Samsung. After a week and still nothing put it back in the box and returned it.

Found this on sale and it sounds amazing. Bass is incredible with wireless sub, creating a surround sound feel in our open first floor that contains kitchen and living room. Easy to set up, plug and play. Different modes for night viewing as well. Sounds every bit as rich and good as those $400 plus sound bars.

The most important reason why I bought this sound bar was for the "smart" setting that would control the volume when watching a movie. Maybe I have not figured out how to use it correctly but it DOES NOT work as I would like it to. I had to keep putting up the volume to hear people talk and down for action scenes.
